Genderbezogene Einstellungen angehender Lehrkräfte für den Islamischen Religionsunterricht
Islamic religious education has taken on increasingly greater significance – not only because of the current migration debate. However, it has not been a subject of any evaluative studies up to this point. Previous studies either focused on pupils who took part in religious education or on their parents. Teachers or students aspiring to become religion teachers have barely been considered in previous German studies. The “Attitudes, value orientations and educational experiences of Muslim religion teachers and student teachers” study has attempted to fill this gap, providing overviews of value orientations, religious self-placement, political opinions and perspectives on gender among students who have the career goal of becoming teachers of Islamic religious education. In this article, the authors show the results of qualitative research that consisted of 34 in-depth interviews with Muslim religion teachers and student teachers in view of their attitudes regarding gender.
