Wilfried Joest´s classic textbook was revised by Johannes von Lüpke for this new edition. It illuminates all of the main themes of Protestant dogmatics and provides the relevant information needed from the history of theology. The volume also introduces the various positions taken in the newer and modern theological discussions and comments critically on them.This, the first volume of the „Dogmatics“focusses on God, Christ and the Holy Ghost. The second volume describes the “Way of God with Humans.” The two volumes can be read independently of each other.
