Peter Walkenhorst examines the systems and the political practice of radical nationalism in the Wilhelmian Empire. Nationalism propagated by societies like the Alldeutschen Society, Ostmarken and Flotten Society since the 1890s showed a new phenomena and played a crucial roled in the development of nationalism in Germany. Central to this work are the semantic and discursive frameworks that were typical for radical nationalism and the interaction between world views of radical nationalists and their specific political actions.
