The series »Mundus Orientis« (MO) covers all aspects of the cultural history of the Ancient Near East, from the late 4th millennium BC until Late Antiquity, including the Hebrew Bible and Early Ancient Judaism. It investigates the material and textual remains of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Asia Minor and the Levant, and focuses particularly on the multiple interdependencies between these cultures and related aspects of longue duree. Intended as a forum for all involved disciplines, the series aims at fostering interdisciplinary work and promoting innovative approaches.
»MO« welcomes monographic studies and edited volumes, especially of a cross-disciplinary nature, in all aspects of Ancient Near Eastern Studies and Egyptology, including archaeology, history and philology, as well as in Hebrew Bible and Ancient Judaism that investigate their subjects in a cultural perspective, based on transparent and wellfounded methodologies. The series has a distinguished international editorial board, and all submissions are peer-reviewed.
