Contemporary Issues in International Security and Strategic Studies

The books in this series discuss and analyze selected challenges of the 21st century in the field of international foreign and security policy based on scientific research in several academic disciplines and on practical political experience. The objective of the individual books is to elaborate scenarios for theoretical and practical solutions and policy recommendations.
A strategic approach on a range of topics serves as the overall framework for the series and thus allows for a holistic approach toward global foreign and security policy challenges that is applicable in the long-term, rather than an isolated analysis of different challenges.
Despite the different themes of the various volumes, the Federal Republic of Germany will serve as a central focal point of discussions of possible solutions for challenges in the field of foreign and security policy.
